Safer Internet Day (SID)

The internet has had an impact on all of our lives. Our children are using the internet and social media to play games, make friends, to communicate, search and share photos. Children are quick to pick up on trends in technology. Therefore it is as important to protect children online as it is in the real world.

We teach Life and Self Defence - this is important for everyone!!

Safer Internet Day (SID) is an annual, worldwide event will be held on Tuesday 5 February 2019 to help encourage a better internet, with this year's theme—'Together for a better internet' encourages individuals to create a better internet by developing four, critical skills. We call these skills the 4Rs: Respect, Responsibility, Reasoning and Resilience.

Respect– I treat myself and others the way I like to be treated.

Responsibility – I am accountable for my actions and I take a stand when I feel something is wrong.

Reasoning – I question what is real.

Resilience – I get back up from tough situations.

On Tuesday, 5th February our members will take part in fun activities and receive up to date information to stay safe.
